You can only reach Avon from two directions.

From the north you cross the Oregon Inlet
Bridge and follow Rt. 12 into Avon.

From the south you can cross to Hatteras
Island using the Ocracoke ferry and then
proceed driving north up Hatteras Island on
Rt. 12 to Avon.
